DINA ZAVRSKI-MAKARIC


Dina Zavrski-Makaric is an executive coach, mentor and consultant, specializing in development of global leaders and intercultural transitions. In 2003 she established her coaching practice, and was one of the first in Australia to apply coaching methodologies in her work with executives on international assignments and accompanying spouses.

Prior to becoming a professional coach, she gained extensive business experience in Europe and Australia, working for large international organizations in the areas of Human Resources, Change Management and Corporate Communications.

As a coach for global leaders Dina works with executives and upcoming talents of multinational organizations, government departments and non-for profit organisations. Her coaching specialties include leadership and career development, stress management, cultural adaptation, leading and managing in complexity (i.e. multicultural and global teams).

Since 2007 Dina partners with global leadership expert Philippe Rosinski from Belgium, as a project leader and trainer of his highly acclaimed Coaching Across Cultures seminar for seasoned coaches, consultants and senior executives. She co-trained this international and advanced seminar in Brussels, Sydney, Prague, Rome and Oxford, and continues to do so in various locations throughout the world.

A committed cultural pluralist, Dina promotes diversity as fundamental human asset and source of innovation and superior individual and organizational results. She trained with some of the leading coaching experts from Australia, the US, the UK and Europe, in advanced and varied coaching methodologies, and has an excellent insight and ability to understand complexity and view problems from multiple perspectives. She works with clients constructively to find solutions to complex problems enabling personal and professional growth.

Dina’s practical articles for global nomads have been widely published, and she is often sought to comment on issues of cultural diversity. Her formal qualifications include a postgraduate degree in counselling, and Certificates in developmental, executive, cultural, work-place and life coaching. She is a member of the Association for Coaching (UK), International Coach Federation (past Chair Research & Development), Asia Pacific Alliance of Coaches (Chair Ethics Committee, Immediate Past Hon. Secretary), Hong Kong International Coaching Community, International Leadership Association, Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR) Europa, and University of Sydney Coaching and Mentoring Association. Based in Sydney, Dina works with clients internationally and travels widely.
