Newcomers Network

  • Are you new to Sydney?
  • Did you recently move from overseas, interstate or intrastate to live and work in Sydney?
  • Would you like to meet others who moved and are experiencing the same challenges as you?
  • Would you like to receive information on how to overcome the challenges of relocation?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any or all of the above questions…
…come to the Newcomers Network ‘Welcome to Sydney’ event

Hosted by the Newcomers Network, the first Australian network for newcomers, on the second Sunday of each month in 2006, from 2.00pm until 4.00pm, these free social events are designed to help newcomers meet other people who have moved to Sydney, from overseas, interstate or intrastate. It is usually a group of up to 20 people from all over the world. Come on your own, with your family or with friends. In a relaxed atmosphere you will:

  • meet likeminded people
  • exchange useful information
  • obtain contact details
  • get answers to your many questions about life in Sydney and Australia.

Bring your business or personal card to share with other people you meet, or a small notepad if you are given information that you would like to keep. More details about the event and venue.

Registration is necessary so we can ensure that you have a seat. You can register, at no charge, by sending an email to sydney@newcomersnetwork.com by end of business Friday prior to the event.

Every participant receives our flyer the Six Settlement Strategies, outlining some useful tips and information to help you overcome challenges of relocation and familiarise yourself with your new city.
